Pantone colors are just a guide for what the printer is going to reference when buying or mixing ink. They will not match it to the book or to the screen, they will mix it based on the recipe given in the book.
Every book is different within tolerance, so the true value of the Pantone book is the recipe it gives unread each color, not the PMS number itself.
